NFL Football Miami Dolphins at Denver Broncos Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

Super Bowl 2014: Pivotal Matchups That Will Decide Seahawks vs. Broncos

The Denver Broncos welcome in the Miami Dolphins in NFL Football action later today. The game is scheduled for a 4:25 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on CBS. Currently the odds for the game have Denver favored by a comfortable margin to win.

Denver should be heading into this game looking to regain some focus and get back in the win column. The Broncos went on the road last week, playing in the early kickoff time slot, and lost to St. Louis in a game where they never looked comfortable or good from the opening kickoff. Peyton Manning threw a couple of interceptions in that game and the Broncos mustered up only seven points total. That's a-typical of Manning and the Broncos and it's even stranger to think they could do that two weeks in a row. In fact, last week was the first time since the Super Bowl that the Broncos were held below 17 points.

The Dolphins have been fighting for a playoff spot, but are behind the New England Patriots in the AFC East. If Miami is going to be taken seriously in the NFL this season they'll have to show up and play well in this game on the road. Denver hasn't lost at home yet this season and the defense has been very good against the run, allowing opponents only 73 yards per game on the ground, which ranks second best in the NFL.

Denver has won the last seven games coming off a loss, dominating those games by an average of three touchdowns per win.

In comes Miami, a southern team that loves to play when the sun is out and the air is warm. Playing in Denver certainly won't be easy as it should be cold, windy and unfavorable conditions for the Dolphins. Ryan Tannehill has played well for the Dolphins this season and will need another good effort in this one. Miami has done a good job of running the football this season but they're taking on a Denver defense that is very good against the run.

This matchup will also showcase a high-powered Denver offense with a Miami defense that is much improved. The Dolphins rank inside the Top 10 in both passing and rushing yardage per game to opponents this season, but taking on the Broncos and Manning could cause those numbers to rise.

Denver is tough to beat at home and Manning's team will be a bit upset with their most recent performance, so this one could be a clinic put on by the quarterback. Look for the Broncos to have a comfortable time on offense and pick up the win in this game by double digits.

Free Pick: Denver 34, Miami 20
