NFL Football Cleveland Browns at Atlanta Falcons Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

What Happened to Falcons QB Matt Ryan?

The Cleveland Browns and Atlanta Falcons hit the field in NFL Football action on Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on CBS. Currently the odds for the game have the Falcons favored to get the win at home by a field goal.

Atlanta sits atop the NFC South with a 4-6 record on the season. The division has been horrendous all year but Atlanta has found a way to stay atop the ruins. Cleveland was in first place for the AFC North but they've found themselves back in the basement after just one week. The Browns are 6-4 but have looked like a pretty decent NFL franchise with Brian Hoyer at the quarterback position.

While Cleveland comes into this game off a loss, the Falcons come in after beating a rival in the Carolina Panthers. The Browns gave up a ton of yards (213) on the ground last week to Houston, but that's not really anything new. Cleveland ranks 30th against the run this season, allowing opponents to pile up an average of 142 per game. Atlanta comes into this one as one of the worst teams in the league at lining up and running the football, earning just 96 yards per game on the ground. Stephen Jackson is a guy that can get you some tough yardage, but the Falcons have not been great at that this season.

Matt Ryan will look to get both Julio Jones and Roddy White involved. If those three can have solid days the Falcons are going to be in good shape.

Returning for the Browns is Josh Gordon, off his suspension. Gordon is one of the best playmakers in the NFL but just how much will he see the field in this one remains to be seen. He hasn't taken a legitimate hit in some time and can't be in playing condition. The Browns would be wise to monitor his snaps.

And if Cleveland can't pound the ball on Atlanta, can they win? The Browns have followed up all three of their losses this season with a win the next week. Ryan has a track record of playing well at home and Atlanta is 2-1 in true home games this season. Look for Ryan to have a big day and for Atlanta to get the win.

Free Pick: Atlanta 28, Cleveland 24
