The Ohio State Buckeyes host the Indiana Hoosiers in college football action on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a noon start time and it will be televised live on the Big Ten Network. Currently the odds for the game have the Buckeyes as a massive favorite to get the win here at home.
Ohio State is just a couple of small stumbling blocks away from playing in the Big Ten title game. If they're able to beat both Indiana and Michigan the Buckeyes will be in the championship game, so there's still an outside shot they could find their way into the college football playoff. They're favored over the Hoosiers in this game by five touchdowns as the oddsmakers expect Ohio State to roll over Indiana despite playing in "The Game" next week against the arch rival Wolverines.
Indiana has won just three games on the season and is 0-6 in Big Ten play. They have one of the biggest threats in college football in Tevin Coleman coming out of the backfield, but the Hoosiers simply have not been able to get anything figured out. Indiana hasn't won since beating North Texas back on Oct. 4, dropping five straight conference games by an average of 38-17. Hard to see them winning this game, especially in Columbus.
The Buckeyes have won 19 straight over Indiana, but the Hoosiers have covered the number in the last three games as huge underdogs. QB J.T. Barrett and the Buckeyes should be able to score points in this game as Ohio State has really gotten into a groove since the early season troubles. Barrett has looked like a darkhorse Heisman contender the past several weeks, tossing for better than 2,300 yards and 29 touchdowns on the season. He's a dual threat option that also has piled up 771 yards on the ground and nine TDs there as well.
Ohio State has athletes all over the field and Indiana does not. If the Buckeyes are focused and ready to go, they will roll.
