NFL Football Cincinnati Bengals at New Orleans Saints Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

New Orleans Saints: Why Drew Brees Is Worth His Contract

The New Orleans Saints welcome in the Cincinnati Bengals in NFL Football action on Sunday afternoon. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on CBS. Currently the odds for the game have the Saints favored by a touchdown in this one.

New Orleans has had a rocky start to the season. Cincinnati hasn't fared much better. Today they'll take to the field looking to get a big win for their respective squads. The Saints lost at home for the first time this season last week to San Francisco in overtime. In fact, the Saints had rolled off 20 straight games inside the dome prior to last week's loss, so expect them to be in a sour mood.

Cincinnati comes into the game looking to get things figured out themselves. The Bengals had won two in a row but really played awful against the Cleveland Browns in the last game, relinquishing first place in the AFC North. Andy Dalton has not been consistent enough for the Bengals to be a first place team, but a win here on the road against New Orleans would certainly boost Cincinnati moving forward.

The Bengal defense will also have to play better, as they've surrendered 158 yards to opponents per game on the ground the last six games, going 2-3-1 during that time and giving up just under 30 points per game during that span. Cincinnati played several good quarterbacks at the start of that streak (Brady, Newton, Luck, Flacco) but the final two games saw Blake Bortles and Brian Hoyer score 47 points. Playing Drew Brees in this game won't make them feel any better, either. Brees is one of the better quarterbacks in the league and often plays very well at home.

New Orleans still somehow leads their division, too. They're only 4-5 on the season but the NFC South has been atrocious this season as no team is playing very well. New Orleans should be able to move the ball on the 30th ranked defense in the league and Jimmy Graham loves to catch and spike touchdowns at home. The Saints should also get a solid game from Mark Ingram in the backfield with as poor as the Cincinnati run defense has been.

The Saints have the better team and are playing at home, coming off a loss. They're not going to be happy and Cincinnati has been too inconsistent this season to back on the road in this spot.

Free Pick: New Orleans 34, Cincinnati 20
