Analysis: The Carolina Panthers come into this game at 3-5-1 on the year, which is still good enough to put them in 2nd place in the weak NFC South. Carolina is just 1-2-1 on the road this year. The Panthers are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 vs. NFC and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous game, but are also 0-5-1 ATS in their last 6 games after accumulating less than 250 total yards in their previous game. This is not a good offensive team, as they come in ranked 26th in total offense, 21st in passing, 26th in rushing and 25th in scoring (19.7 ppg). The defense has not been all that good for this team either, as they come in ranked 24th in yards allowed, 17th vs the pass, 26th vs the run and 25th in points allowed (26.2 ppg).
The Philadelphia Eagles have had a solid year so far, as they come in at 6-2, which includes a 4-0 mark at home. The Eagles are currently in first place in the NFC East. The Eagles are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games in November and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 Monday games, but they are also 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. The Eagles are once again a strong offensive team, ranking 4th in total yards, 5th in passing, 8th in rushing and 4th in scoring (29.2 ppg). The Defense has been very average, ranking 22nd in yards allowed, 22nd vs the pass, 20th vs the run and 14th in points allowed (22.1 ppg).
Pick: Im going to go with the Under in this one. The Panthers have no offense at all, as they come in having scored 20 or more points just 3 times this year and have averaged just 12 ppg in their last 3 games, plus they will be facing a Philadelphia team that has allowed just 15 ppg in their last 3 games and just 19.8 ppg at home this year. Cam Newton just isn’t the same explosive QB that burst onto the scene a few years ago and his skill players are among some of the weakest in the league. The Panther defense has struggled this year and the Eagle offense goes at warp speed, but still this is a Panthers defense that is solid and will find a way to slow the Eagles defense down enough. I see this as a 24-14 type game. Yes I recommend a play on the Eagles as well.
