NFL Betting Odds San Francisco 49ers at New Orleans Saints

Jimmy Graham Contract: Latest News and Rumors on Negotiations with Saints

The New Orleans Saints welcome in the San Francisco 49ers in NFL action Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on FOX. Currently the odds for the game have New Orleans favored by a comfortable margin in this one.

This could be a crossroad type of game for a pair of NFL teams heading in opposite directions. New Orleans started the season struggling while San Francisco is now struggling themselves. Both teams have stumbled to 4-4 starts on the year and the loser will certainly be looking at an uphill climb the rest of the way.

New Orleans has been amazing at home this season, winning all three contests inside the SuperDome. The 49ers haven't been good on the road, which could benefit the Saints even more tonight. San Francisco is just 2-2 away from home this season and doesn't seem to be in a good rhythm at all.

Defensively, the 49ers still stack up as one of the best in the league. San Fran ranks inside the top five in both opposing passing and rushing yards this season, allowing just under 292 yards per game to opponents. The 49ers could legitimately be 7-1 on the season but lost close games to Chicago, Arizona and St. Louis in games they led.

Jim Harbaugh and the West Coasters need to figure it out, but stopping New Orleans in the Dome isn't an easy option.

New Orleans is coming off a 28-10 win over Carolina last Thursday night on the road and a win over the Green Bay Packers the week before on Sunday night. Both wins are very impressive and have helped get the Saints back on track. In fact, a fourth quarter meltdown against Detroit is the only bump in the road of a potential four-game winning streak.

Drew Brees loves to find Jimmy Graham. The 49ers will have to find a way to keep him off the scoreboard in this one, but that's easier said than done. New Orleans has been running the football well this season, too, averaging 129.5 on the ground per game. The 49ers defense should be able to keep them in the game, but how will the offense fare against an improving Saints defense?

Colin Kaepernick has been up and down for the 49ers, but San Francisco needs him to be on his game in this one. The early start for the 49ers won't be easy and taking on the Saints in their own building is even worse.

San Francisco is going to put up a pretty good effort, but it won't be enough.
