NFL Football Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Cleveland Browns Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

Clevelander Brian Hoyer Keeping Johnny Manziel on the Browns Bench

The Cleveland Browns welcome in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in NFL Football action Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on FOX. Currently the odds for the game have the Browns favored comfortably in this one.

This has to be the worst game on the schedule, at least for the early games. Neither the Browns or Bucs have been impressive at all this season and now meet on the football field. Cleveland has won four games this season, going 3-1 in home games as Bryan Hoyer has helped lead them to a decent start to the season.

But can the Browns avoid a loss to the lowly Buccaneers? Cleveland probably should have won a couple of weeks ago over Jacksonville, but lost in every facet of the game and got pasted 24-6. The Jaguars have not been a good football team at all this season, but made Cleveland look even worse. Ironically enough, that loss came just a week after Cleveland drilled Pittsburgh 31-10 the previous game.

So who exactly are the Cleveland Browns? The quarterback position hasn't exactly been the best and their 120 yards rushing per game ranks only 12th in the league. The defense has not been very good, either. Opponents run the football very well against them this season, piling up nearly 144 yards on the ground per game, which ranks 30th in the league. Tampa Bay is obviously not a team that runs the football well at all, ranking just 29th in the league themselves at 86 rushing yards per game. The Bucs have five straight games without hitting 100 yards rushing in a game.

Tampa Bay is the only team in the NFL not to have won the yardage battle in a game this season at any point. But at least they have something in common with the Browns, as both teams have picked up wins over Pittsburgh this season. That win over the Steelers was the only one this year for Tampa Bay, who is already coming off the bye week and really has no breaks looking at the rest of the schedule. The Bucs will play Atlanta, Washingotn, Chicago, Cincinnati, Detroit, Carolina, Green Bay and New Orleans ont he second half of their schedule. Can they win any of those games?

Cleveland won last week, but were out-gained by the Raiders. Tampa Bay also was out-gained in their last game, but they lost at home to Minnesota in overtime. The Bucs didn't hit the 100-yard mark of offense until the fourth quarter. Ouch.

The Browns are the better team overall and have a chance to get to five wins on the season with a win. Playing at home, the Browns are the right play here as Cleveland should be able to put Tampa Bay away.

Free Pick: Cleveland 31, Tampa Bay 17
