NFL Betting Odds St. Louis Rams vs San Francisco 49ers

49ers vs. Rams: Full Roster Report Card Grades for San Francisco

The San Francisco 49ers welcome in the St. Louis Rams in NFL Football action later today. Currently the NFL Betting Odds for the game have the 49ers listed as a double digit favorite to pick up the win here.

San Francisco is favored by double digits in this game as they welcome in the struggling Rams. The 49ers are 4-3 on the season and have won two of their three home games, beating both Philadelphia and Kansas City in their most recent two contests at Levi's Stadium. San Francisco didn't play last week as they had a bye week, so they should be ready to go in this divisional matchup.

These teams met in St. Louis just a couple of weeks ago with the 49ers picking up a two-touchdown win over the Rams, 31-17. Colin Kaepernick threw for 343 yards in that game as the 49ers didn't do a very good job of running the ball, garnering only 89 yards on the ground for the game. But Kaepernick was dynamite through the air, completing 22 passes for an average of 9.8 yards per play with three touchdowns.

St. Louis built a 14-0 lead early in that game and led 14-3 before Kaepernick hit Brandon Lloyd for an 80-yard touchdown pass as time was running out in the opening half. The 49ers, down just four points at halftime, used that momentum in the second half to out-score the Rams 21-3 to run away with the game.

Can the 49ers have the same type of offensive output in this game? San Francisco is 8-4 against the number when they host the Rams, claiming three straight wins overall as well. They're still banged up on the defense side of the football, but the bye week helped get San Francisco back in order. They should have no problems getting after the quarterback today as St. Louis gives up a ton of sacks, including seven last week as they were drilled by the Chiefs.

The Rams will have to hang onto the football in this one and eat clock to hang around. San Francisco is out-gaining opponents by an average of better than 140 yards per game at home, which ranks third best in the NFL. San Francisco should be ready to go in this one and Kaepernick should have a big game finding Vernon Davis and his wide receivers for big chunks of yards. San Francisco is just too good for St. Louis in this one.
