NFL Betting Odds Green Bay Packers vs New Orleans Saints

Green Bay Packers OTAs: Latest Player Reports and Analysis

The New Orleans Saints welcome in the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. Currently the NFL Betting Odds for the game have the Saints listed as a small favorite to knock off the Packers in this one.

While New Orleans has fallen on some hard times this season, the Green Bay Packers have proven to be one of the best teams in the league yet again. Tonight's battle between Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers will certainly make for must-see television in what could be a higher-scoring affair.

The Saints have been awesome at home, obviously. Coming into the season they had won 16 straight games at home and have gone 2-0 inside the Mercedes SuperDome as well. They've been dominant there as well, covering the number in 16 of the last 18 games played there as well. In this game tonight a cover would give them another win as they are favored by less than a field goal. The field goal number is important for those looking to get down on a line here as Rodgers-led Packers team getting at least a field goal are 7-1 against the number.

New Orleans, sitting at 2-4 for the season, don't exactly have an easy schedule moving forward. The Saints will take on Green Bay, Carolina, San Francisco, Cincinnati, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Carolina (again), Chicago, Atlanta and Tampa Bay to end the season. That's a ton of solid teams on the schedule, making this game as close to a must-win to get them going in the right direction as it can get.

Brees has thrown 11 touchdowns this season, but also has seven picks. New Orleans has been horrendous at -7 in the turnover differential this season, which ranks 29th in the league. Turning the football over tonight against the Packers will lead to a bad situation as Green Bay leads the league, sitting at +10 in the differential this season.

Green Bay gives up too many yards to opposing running backs, but has done well against the pass this season, raking fifth in the league. New Orleans obviously loves to run the football, but they have done pretty well at keeping the ball on the ground this season and being balanced offensively.

But the Rodgers to Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb is going to be too much. The Packers can also line up and run the ball with Eddie Lacy, who brings a physical style to Green Bay.

New Orleans has struggled to this point in the season and Green Bay is playing well. Being indoors only helps the Packers and they'll come away with the win here on the road.
