Pro Football Betting Odds San Francisco 49ers vs Denver Broncos Free Pick

Pro football Sunday and the San Francisco 49ers will travel to Sports Authority Field in Denver Colorado to take on the Denver Bronco. The game has a start time of 8:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on NBC. Current Vegas odds have the Broncos listed as 6 point favorites, while the total is set at 48.

Analysis:  The San Francisco 49ers come into this game with a 4-2 mark overall, including a 2-1 mark on the road. The Niners have won 3 in a row, including a 14 point victory at St Louis on Monday night. The Niners are 10-1 ATS vs an opponent with a 66.7% win pct, but 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games played in October. The Niners have been a rather average offensive team as they come in ranked 15th in total yards, 18th in passing, 7th in rushing and 18th in points scored, putting up 23.5 ppg. They have looked better of late, scoring 26.3 ppg in their last 3 games, compared to just 20.7 ppg in their first 3 game. The defense has been stout as usual, ranking 2nd in yards allowed, 2nd vs the pass, 5th vs the run and 6th in points allowed (20.5 ppg).

The Denver Broncos come into this game with a 4-1 record, which includes a perfect 3-0 record at home. In their last game they were in a dogfight for much of it vs the NY Jets, before getting a late INT returned for a TD to seal the deal. The Broncos are just 1-6 ATS as a home favorite of 4 or more in game 6, but they are also 14-6-1 ATS in their last 21 games played on grass. The offense of course is Peyton Manning, who has thrown for 1293 yards with 12 TDs and 3 INTs so far. The Denver offense comes in 9th in total yards, 4th in passing, 26th in rushing and 3rd in scoring (29.4 ppg). The defense has been solid this year, ranking 4th overall, 16th vs the pass, 4th vs the run and 7th in points allowed (20.8 ppg).

Pick: I am leaning to the Under in this one. This has the feel of an upcoming slugfest. The Niners are starting to get back to more of a running team and that is wise of them, especially in this game where they can use that ground attack to keep Peyton and his offense off the field. The Niners are also strong on the defensive side of the ball once again this year, as they rank 2nd in yards allowed and 6th in points allowed, giving up just 20.5 ppg. Lost in all the offense that the Broncos have is the fact that they also have a very good defense that ranks 4th in yards allowed and 7th in points allowed, giving up just 20.8. These teams will get after each other defensively in this game and keep the scoring in the lower 40s at best.
