Pro Football Betting Odds Cleveland Browns vs Jacksonville Jaguars Free Pick

NFL Week 7 and we will see the Cleveland Browns take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida. The game has a start time of 1:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on CBS. Current Vegas odds have the Browns listed as 4 point favorites, while the total is set at 44.

Analysis:  The Cleveland Browns have had a decent start to their year as they come in at 3-2, which includes a 1-1 mark on the road. Last week they took on a Steelers team that has owned them the last decade or so, but Cleveland played their most complete game of the year and walked away with a 21-10 win over their nemesis. The Browns are 14-2 ATS on the road off a division opponent if they are playing a sub .500 team, but they are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games after scoring 28 or more points. The Browns have been a solid offensive squad this year, ranking 10th overall, 16th in passing, 3rd in rushing and 10th in scoring (26.8 ppg). This is a team that has averaged 19, 19, 14 and 17 ppg the last 4 years. The Defense has struggled though, as they come in ranked 29th in yards allowed, 23rd vs the pass, 30th vs the run and 17th in points scored (23 ppg).

The Jacksonville Jaguars are having another bad year as they come in with an 0-6 record, which includes an 0-2 record at home. After getting blown out in each of their first 4 games, the Jags have played well in their last 2 games, losing by just 8 vs Pittsburgh and by just 2 at Tennessee. The Jaguars are 1-6 ATS as non-division home dogs and they are also 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 games following a SU loss. The Jags have the worst offense in the league, as they rank 32nd in total yards, 23rd in passing, 32nd in rushing and 32nd in scoring (13.5 ppg). The defense has also been bad for this team, as they rank 30th in yards allowed, 30th vs the pass, 19th vs the run and 31st in points allowed (30.8 ppg). They have allowed just 33 total points in their last 2 games though.

Pick: Not sold on Cleveland just yet and not sold on them being a favorite of this big on the road. Don’t get me wrong the Browns are an improved team this year, but they are still young team and are off a huge emotional win vs Pittsburgh last week, which is a team they hadn’t beat in like forever. The Jags are a bad team, but have played better of late, especially on defense, while on offense Bortles should make enough play against a bad Browns defense to keep this game close.
