Pro Football Betting Odds Cincinnati Bengals vs Indianapolis Colts Free Pick

NFL Week 7 and we will see the Cincinnati Bengals take on the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The game has a start time of 1:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on CBS. Current Vegas odds have the Colts listed as 3 point favorites, while the total is set at 50.

Analysis: The Cincinnati Bengals come in at 3-1-1 on the year, which includes a 1-1 mark on the road. Last week they were involved in a wild 37-37 tie with the Carolina Panthers. They did have a shot to win it in OT, but Mike Nugent misses a 36 yard FG at time expired. The Bengals are 8-0 ATS when taking on a non-divisional opponent after playing a non-conf opponent, but they are also 2-8-1 ATS after allowing 30 or more points in their last game. Even though they are dealing with offensive injuries, it not really affecting the offense as they come in ranked 5th in total yards, 8th in passing, 11th in rushing and 9th in scoring (26.8 ppg). The defense was to be a strength for this team, but so far has not panned out that way. The Bengals come in ranked 28th in yards allowed, 22nd vs the pass, 29th vs the run and 14th in points allowed (22.6 ppg).

The Indianapolis Colts got off to an 0-2 start this year, but have since righted the ship by winning their last 4 games, including last week’s 33-28 road win over the Houston Texans. The Favorite is 5-1 ATS the last 6 in the series and the Colts are 17-5 ATS in their last 22 home games overall, but they are also 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games before playing Pittsburgh, which includes an 0-6 ATS mark at home. The Colts have thrived this year on the league’s top ranked offense, as they come in 1 st in total yards, 1st in passing, 16th in rushing and 1st in scoring (31.5 ppg). On the defensive side of the ball they have been rather average, ranking 13th in yards allowed, 14th vs the pass, 11th vs the run and 16th in points allowed, giving up 22.7 ppg.

Pick: I like the Colts in this one. The Bengals are a beat up group and their defense has really struggles of late, allowing 80 points in their last 2 games and now they will be taking on a Colts offense that is tops in the league in total yards, passing and scoring. The Colt defense has surprised this year after a rough start and in middle of the pack in most categories, while allowing just 21 ppg in their last 4 games. The Bengals are just 2-8-1 ATS in their last 11 games after allowing 30 or more points, while the Colts are a very solid 17-5 ATS in their last 22 games at home. The Bengals just won’t have the offense to keep up with Colts in this one, especially at Lucas Oil Stadium, as I look for a rather easy win by Indianapolis in this one.
