College football week 8 and the UCLA Bruins will travel to California Memorial Stadium to take on the California Golden Bears. The game has a start time of 3:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ABC Or ESPN 2 Current Vegas odds have the Bruins listed as 7 point favorites, while the total is set at 74.  

Analysis:  The UCLA Bruins come in on a two game losing streak which now has them at 4-2 on the year and out of the Top 25. The two losses were both at home to the Utah Utes and Oregon Ducks, while the Bruin are yet to lose on the road (3-0). The Bruins are just 1-8 ATS the last 9 on this series and are also 5-18 ATS in their last 23 games in October. The offense is led by Bretnm                                                                                             t Hundley, who has thrown for 1526 yards, 11 TDs and 3 INTs this year, while Paul Perkins has had a nice year at RB so far, piling up 727 yards and 3 TDs on the year. Overall the Bruin offense comes in at 29th overall, 29th in passing 39th in rushing and 35th in scoring (35 ppg), while the defense is 91st overall, 98th vs the pass, 78th vs the run and 83rd in points allowed (28.3 ppg).

The California Golden Bears comes in at 4-2 on the year, which includes a 2-1 mark at home. That lone home loss was a 31-7 decision at home last week vs Washington. The Bears are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games following an ATS loss and 3-14 ATS in their last 17 home games. Jared Goff has been very solid under center for the Cal Bears, as he has thrown for 2179 yards with 22 TDs and just 3 INTs. Goff leads a very good offense that ranks 14th in the nation overall, 4th in passing, 102nd in rushing and 10th in scoring (42.8 ppg). The defense has been horrible for this team as they come in ranked 124th in yards allowed, 128th vs the pass, 25th vs the run and 120th in points allowed (38.8 ppg).

Pick: Gonna go with the Cal Bears here. UCLA has not impressed this season and are out of the Playoff Chase, plus they have struggled in this series, going just 1-9 ATS in their last 9 meetings. Cal is an improved team and should be able to put enough points on the board to keep this one close or maybe win it outright.
