Analysis: The Denver Broncos come into this game with a 3-1 record, but that lone loss was their lone road game of the year so far. Denver is just 1-3 ATS this year, but they are also 5-1 ATS their last 5 games at the Jets and they are 6-1 ATS on the road in their last 7 games vs a team that has a win pct of less than .250. The offense of course is Peyton Manning, who has thrown for 1293 yards with 12 TDs and 3 INTs so far. The Offense is hindered a little now that they will be missing Montee Ball at RB, who was their leading rusher. The Denver offense comes in 6th in total yards, 3rd in passing, 29th in rushing and 4th in scoring (29 ppg). The defense has been solid this year, ranking 14th overall, 23rd vs the pass, 7th vs the run and 16th in points allowed (21.8 ppg).
The Jets are off to a 1-4 start and the end of the Rex Ryan Era may finally be coming to an end in New York. He has no real QB, the secondary is weak and he has lost most of his locker room with the way he handled the situation with Geno Smith, who was late for a team meeting, but still got the start vs the Chargers. Ryan has been tougher on other players for the same thing. The jets are 0-4-1 ATS this year, but they are also 7-1 ATS as dogs of 1 or more after scoring 10 points or less. The Jet offense has been pathetic this year, ranking 27 th overall, 32 nd in passing, 6 th in rushing and 30 th in points scored (15.8 ppg). The defense for the Jets has been decent, as they come in ranked 6th in yards allowed, 14th vs the pass, 6th vs the run and 21st in points allowed (25.4 ppg).
Pick: I can't look anywhere else here but to the side of the Broncos. This Jets team is a mess and it looks as if Rex Ryan is losing his players. they have a solid run game, but not a whole lot of anything else as they have had struggles at QB and their defense has been struggling as well, allowing 25.4 ppg. Not all of that is the defense's fault, but the offense has put them in bad field position many times this year and if their is one offense that can really make you pay for that it is the Broncos. Denver has just too much on both sides of the ball and should win this one by 14+.
