NFL Week 5 concludes tonight as the the Seattle Seahawks will take on the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland. The game has a start time of 8:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ESPN. Current Vegas odds have the Seahawks listed as 7 point favorites, while the total is set at 45.5.   

Analysis: The Seattle Seahawks come in at 2-1 on the year and they are off a bye week. Prior to the bye they took on a pair of AFC east foes, losing at San Diego, while beating Denver at home in OT. The Seahawks are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games on Monday night, while the favorite is 4-1-1 ATS the last 6 in the series. Russel Wilson comes in with a 108.9 QBR, as he has hit 69% of his passes for 651 yards, with 6 TDs and just 1 INT so far this year. Marshawn Lynch is off to a decent start with 234 yards rushing, while posting 3 rushing TDs and 2 receiving TDs. Overall the Seattle offense comes in ranked 14th overall, 25th in passing, 2nd in rushing and 5th in scoring (27.7 ppg), while the defense ranks 6th overall, 19th vs the pass, 2nd vs the run and 16th in points allowed (22 ppg). 

For the Washington Redskins, they come in with a disappointing 1-3 mark on their season. Their lone win came against lowly Jacksonville, so really not much to get excited about in that one. The Skins are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games after the Giants, 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games on Monday nights, but 3-1 ATS in their last 4 home games vs Seattle. Kirk Cousins has taken over for the Skins at QB and after a big game vs the Jags, he came back down to earth vs the Giants, throwing 4 INTs in that 45-14 loss. Overall he has an 87.3 QBR rating for the year . He leads an offense that is 4th overall, 5th in passing, 14th in rushing and 16th in scoring (23.8 ppg). The defense has struggled in 2 of their last 3 games, but still comes in 9th overall, 12th vs the pass, 7th vs the run and 126th in points allowed (27.2 ppg).  

Pick: This is a tough one as I feel the line is where it should be. Seattle is clearly the better team, but they can struggle at times on the road and the Skins are off an embarrassing home loss to the Giants. Taking the Under in this game is a risk because so many prime time games this year have gone Over the total. So here is what I will do. I will go with a teaser and tease the Seahawks down to 1 and will tease the total to 51.5 and take the under. I feel that is the safest way to go for now, but i may have a straight side or a totals play later on at Pregame.com. Just check the forums later in the day.
