The Denver Broncos welcome in the Arizona Cardinals in NFL football action on Sunday. Currently the NFL Odds for the game have the Broncos favored by a touchdown in this one.
One of the biggest storylines of this game is Peyton Manning's next touchdown pass will be his 500th career scoring throw. That will put him second in the list behind all-time leader Brett Favre's 508 touchdowns. Manning should be able to connect with at least one of his receivers for a touchdown in this game, so be prepared for history.
But the real question is can the Cardinals do enough defensively to knock the Cardinals from the ranks of the unbeaten? Only Arizona and Cincinnati have no losses on the season, but Denver is looking to bring that to just Cincinnati tonight.
The Broncos allow the second worst passing yards per game to opponents, giving up 285.3 to opposing teams. The have been pretty good against the run, ranking 12th best, but Arizona doesn't exactly love running the football. The Cardinals rank 21st best in the league at 105.7 yards per game. Drew Stanton will get the football again as Carson Palmer is one again inactive for Arizona. Stanton has been pretty solid for the Cardinals in his two starts, winning both games and not throwing an interception in either game.
Both teams are in the positives for the turnover differential this season, so turnovers will definitely be magnified in this one. Both are also coming off byes, but giving Manning an extra week to prepare is just too much time, plus Denver is at home.
