NFL Football Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Pittsburgh Steelers Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Carolina Panthers: Live Score, Highlights and Analysis

The Pittsburgh Steelers welcome in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in NFL football action Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on FOX. Currently the odds for the game have the Steelers favored by more than a touchdown in this one.

Tampa Bay has been dreadful this season, arguably the worst overall team in the league. They have no offensive coordinator, are playing with a backup quarterback and have been embarrassed on national television. The Bucs are 0-3 on the season and Lovie Smith seems to be doing all he can for that team.

We could really pile on to Tampa Bay by mentioning they lost to a pair of backups in the opening two weeks of the season in Derek Anderson and Austin Davis. Then last week Atlanta hung 56 points on them. Ugh. Tampa Bay is just 2-7 against the spread their last nine road games.

Pittsburgh, on the other hand, is just 1-6 against the number their last seven games in September as they've gotten off to a couple of rough starts. Pittsburgh, however, is looking at this game as one they don't want to lay an egg in. The Bucs are in some trouble in this one as Pittsburgh's defense will be looking to prove themselves once again after looking pretty good last week on Sunday night against Carolina. While they have some injuries in the linebacking corps and secondary, Pittsburgh still has a lot to prove and even though it's against a poor team like Tampa Bay, taking care of business is the most important thing.

Mike Glennon gets the nod for Tampa Bay in this one, replacing Josh McCown, who they brought in to replace — Glennon. What a mess. The Bucs have gotten some extra rest as they played way back on Thursday night, but it won't make a difference in this one.

Big Ben Roethlisberger will line up, hand the ball off consistently to the Steelers backs and find Antonio Brown and Heath Miller enough in this one. Pittsburgh will do what it has to do in order to look good at home. This won't be a situation where they are caught napping against a poor team. Expect a solid effort here.

Free Pick: Pittsburgh 31, Tampa Bay 14
