The San Francisco 49ers welcome in the Chicago Bears in Sunday Night Football. The game is scheduled for an 8:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on NBC. Currently the odds for the game have the 49ers favored in this one at home.
San Francisco looked very strong last week when they beat up on the Dallas Cowboys. The 49er fans really came through for their team by buying up a good chunk of the tickets and at times making the game feel like it was being played in San Francisco. The defense was awesome and kept the Cowboys from putting up a lot of points, forcing four Tony Romo turnovers and one that ended up as a defensive touchdown.
The 49ers want to get Colin Kaepernick going early. When he is running around, making plays and keeping the 49er offense moving down the field, they are very tough to beat. In this one we'll see the Bears defense pushed to the test. This will be the first regular season game for the new Levi Stadium and San Francisco will certainly want to open the place with a big win on national television with the Bears in town.
Chicago was very good offensively last weekend against the Bills, but it wasn't good enough to beat Buffalo, even though Chicago was playing at home. Jay Cutler threw for almost 350 yards and Matt Forte looked good running the football as well. But the offense let them down as well, turning it over three times and allowing Buffalo to have the football back. Those three turnovers led to 13 Bills points, which were huge.
San Francisco has covered five straight home games, but they are laying right around a touchdown in this one. If the defense plays well and takes advantage of Chicago turnovers it's going to be a long game for the Bears. The 49ers were +4 in the turnover department in the team's win over the Cowboys. San Francisco has great special teams as well, giving the 49ers two distinct advantages coming into this game.
The 49ers will win this one. They run the football well, play defense well, have amazing special teams and will wear the Bears down. Look for the 49ers to dominate this one from the opening kick and look very good on Sunday Night Football.
