The Florida Gators welcome in the Kentucky Wildcats in SEC college football action Saturday night in The Swamp. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on the SEC Network. Currently the odds for the game have the Gators favored by a comfortable margin

Kentucky has been very solid in their opening two games this season, beating Tennessee-Martin and Ohio in comfortable victories. Both of those games were at home, however, and now they hit the road by traveling south to The Swamp. Florida had their opening game of the season deleted from the schedule when they welcomed in the Idaho Vandals, but a monsoon kept the schools from being able to get anything going and the contest was never completed. They only got a single play — the opening kickoff — in during that game before lightning and water all over the field canceled the game. The Gators rebounded by beating up on Eastern Michigan last week, 65-0.

Florida has No. 3 Alabama on deck next week when they travel to Tuscaloosa. Kentucky will be on bye next week before taking on Vanderbilt the following week, so they should be ready to go in this one.

But Kentucky has been dominated by the Gators. Florida has won 27 straight games over the Wildcats, covering the number in seven straight games as well. The last three games inside The Swamp has seen Florida win by an average of 50-6 as well. There's a lot of history there for Kentucky to overcome in this one, but the oddsmakers aren't buying it — posting the Gators as a near three-touchdown favorite. 

The Wildcats have averaged better than 525 yards offensively per game but they haven't played a defense as good as Florida's yet. The Gators tuned themselves up last week by beating up on Eastern Michigan and will be ready to go in this one.

Kentucky is improved, but the Gators look like they are going to be much better offensively this year. Should be a good game.
