The Arkansas Razorbacks travel to take on the sixth-ranked Auburn Tigers in college football action Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff down in SEC land. The college football odds for the game have Auburn favored by a comfortable margin, but the line is coming down.

Everyone saw the infamous play that put Auburn in the SEC title game. The Tigers went on to win that game over Missouri and eventually fell to Florida State in the national title game. Gus Mahlzan and the Tigers are looking to defend that SEC crown but they drew a tough game in their opener with the Hogs coming to town. 

Arkansas was just 3-9 last season, claiming victories in their opening three games before heading to the SEC schedule and not winning a game. They played very well against LSU in their final game of the season, but came up short 31-27 as Bret Bielema's first season as the coach of the Hogs came to an end. But he's going to build something there, and it won't take long. Arkansas definitely got better as the season went on in the SEC.

These two have battled tough for a long time and the home teams are just 4-8 the last 12 years in this series. 

Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall has been suspended for a part of this game, but will play. He's not going to start after being arrested for marijuana possession in the off-season. Even if he played the entire game, we would still like Arkansas getting three touchdowns in this game. The Razorbacks will be looking to make an impact on the field in the opening week of the season, especially on the road. This will be the first time the Hogs have opened the season on the road since 1999 when they went into Texas and beat SMU. 

But, to be fair, Arkansas has won just two of their last 10 road openers, so this is going to be a tough one. Their defense should be improved, which is going to be a big part of this game tomorrow. 

Look for Arkansas to hang around in this one and cover the number. They're going to be better than people think.
