The Hawaii Warriors are looking to put last season behind them and get back to winning football games. The 2014 Hawaii Warriors Football Schedule isn't an easy one, but can they still find a way to improve?
Hawaii won just a single game last year. The Norm Chow experience has not been going well for the Warriors, winning just four games in two seasons, last year going 1-11. They're going to have to be better offensively and defensively if they are going to be more competitive. The offensive line should be a plus with four starters coming back, which should help keep Taylor Graham from being sacked too much.
Graham is an Ohio State transfer that got injured last season after starting the season as the team's signal caller. Fellow transfer Jeremy Higgins is coming in from Utah State and Chow said both will compete for the job. We expect Graham to win that job, but inconsistent play could hurt the Warrior offense.
Defensively, the Warriors are bringing six starters back and have a new defensive coordinator. Beau Yap led the team in sacks and should give them a presence up front, but he's going to need a lot of help for Hawaii to stay in games. Last year they gave up a ton of points and gave the offense no chance to compete.
It's probably not going to be an easy season for Hawaii. They have all kinds of problems and play some difficult teams, including Washington, Oregon State and Colorado. They have several key road games to the mainland as well. Hawaii won't be great but they might be able to piece together some wins.
