The Air Force Falcons were awful last season but are looking to improve on the field. The 2014 Air Force Falcons Schedule is listed below and it's not an easy schedule to survive.
Air Force will play six road games this year, so that will certainly be taxing on them. They open the season with a couple of winnable games but if they can't figure out how to stop teams from scoring, they are looking at another 2-10 season. Last year the were also 0-8 in Mountain West play.
Last year only New Mexico gave up more points than Air Force. Typically the Falcons have a pretty solid group of student athletes because they get dedicated young men who have an interest in serving their country and being the best they can be every single day. But that doesn't always equate to getting victories on the field.
Some good news (potentially) is that they bring back eight starters on defense. While they weren't any good last season, they should be able to improve with another year of experience.
Offensively, the Falcons are always running the rock. They need to be solid up front, which would allow quarterback Nate Romine to succeed. Last year, the Falcons were the lowest-scoring team in the conference and will have to get better in order to compete each week.
Overall, we expect them to be better and get some more victories. That schedule isn't going to be easy with tough road games at Wyoming, at Utah State, at UNLV and at San Diego State to name a few.
