The pitching has been very average for this team, as they are 15th in ERA (3.76) and 8th in WHIP (1.22). Getting the ball for the Angels tonight will be Hector Santiago, who is 2-7 with a 4.20 ERA on the year while at home he has gone 1-3 with a 3.70 ERA. Hector is 0-3 in 4 career starts vs the Tigers, but with just a 2.28 ERA.
Pick: I will go with the Under in this one. The Tigers are having trouble at the plate of late, especially vs lefties, where they have hit just .184 vs them in the last 5 games, while they have scored just 3.18 rp/9 off of them on the road this year. Hector Santiago is the worst starter on the Angels staff, but he dos have a solid 2.28 ERA in 4 career starts vs the tigers and allowed just 1 ER vs them in an earlier meeting this year. Rick Porcello has bad numbers vs the Halos n his career, but he is having a career year so far and in his lone meeting vs them this year he did allow just 1 ER in 7 innings of work. The Halos have struggled at the plate of late, scoring just 3.8 rpg in their last and 3 rpg in their last 5. This one should be low scoring just like the first 3 in the series.
