2014 Wimbledon Men's Finals Odds, Start Time

Wimbledon Tennis 2012 Finals: Experienced Roger Federer Will Drop Andy Murray

The most recognized tennis tournament in the world concludes today from London. The 2014 Wimbledon Men's Finals will see the world No. 2 Novak Djokovic take on one of the best ever on grass in Roger Federer. The 2014 Wimbledon Men's Finals Odds have Djokovic as small favorite. The Wimbledon Start Time is set for 9:00 a.m. and it will be televised nationally on ESPN.

Wimbledon Men's Final Odds

Novak Djokovic -2½ -101 -165 Ov 42 -115 Ov 22½ -105 Un 22½ -125
Roger Federer +2½ -115 +145 Un 42 -101 Ov 21½ -105 Un 21½
-125

This match between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer certainly is one that has people excited. Last year Djokovic lost in the Wimbledon finals to Andy Murray. This year he will look to avenge that loss against arguably the best grass court player in the history of tennis. Federer has won seven Wimbledon titles, tying him with Pete Sampras and William Renshaw for the most all-time at the All England Club.

Federer most recently won the 2012 Championships over Murray, winning the final three sets of the match after dropping the opener.

Djokovic won this title back in 2011, beating Rafael Nadal in four sets. In fact, dating back to 2002 the only winners of this tournament from the men's side have come from the Big Four — Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray. That will obviously continue through this season as well.

Federer has played in eight Wimbledon finals, having only lost once in the 2008 finals to Nadal in what many consider the best tennis match on grass of all time. Nadal won the opening two sets 6-4 only to see Federer battle back and win sets three and four 7-6. Nadal would claim a 9-7 fifth set, ending Federer's run of five consecutive Wimbledon championships. It was the longest championship match in Wimbledon history with play lasting four hours and 48 minutes, and with two rain delays.

Both obviously have the talent and grit to win this tournament. We're expecting a very solid matchup that should be well-played. If Djokovic is able to win this he'll regain his spot as the No. 1 player in the world, surpassing Nadal.

Federer leads the all-time series 18-16 and has beaten Djokovic twice this season. The only other grass-court contest between the team was also their last Grand Slam battle, back in 2012 in the Wimbledon semis, which Federer won in four sets.

Expect an awesome match here between two of the best in the world. Yet, when it comes down to it, we like Federer to overcome the odds and claim his 18th Grand Slam title in five sets.
