College Basketball Picks Iowa Hawkeyes vs Indiana Hoosiers Start Time, Odds

The No. 20 Iowa Hawkeyes continue to stay on the road in Big 10 college basketball action tonight when they play the Indiana Hoosiers. The game is scheduled for a 9 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the odds for the game have Iowa favored by just a couple of buckets in this one.

Iowa and Indiana were supposed to play several days ago, but a beam fell from the Assembly Hall rafters earlier in the day. Authorities had no choice but to suspend the game for the safety of the fans, players, etc. The game was moved to tonight, and barring any roof problems, they'll take to the floor in Hoosierland.

Both of these teams played on Tuesday and both teams lost. Each will be looking to get back on track in this one and Indiana isn't buying into the Iowa hype. The Hoosiers feel like they can win this contest and playing at home certainly will help them. The Hoosiers have gone 12-3 in home games this season while Iowa has struggled to just a 4-4 road record this year. The Hawkeyes actually are looking to rebound from back-to-back losses to Wisconsin and Minnesota. They need to get their feet back under them and playing Indiana on the road might not be the best place to do so.

The Hoosiers have not had the season they wanted to. Gone are the superstar athletes that Tom Crean has had in recent years and now he's dealing with a team that is still pretty talented, but they're in one of the toughest leagues in America. Minnesota became the first team to shoot at least 50.0 percent from 3-point range against Iowa this season with an 11-of-19 night. Indiana might want to utilize that in their gameplan tonight.

Yogi Ferrell has had big games this season. His shooting from downtown helped Indiana knock off Michigan earlier this season and he'll look to fill it up again tonight. He'll match up against Iowa leading scorer Roy Devyn Marble. Both players average better than 16.5 points per game this season and will need to have solid games in order for their respective teams to win. Noah Vonleh has been pretty solid as a freshman this season for Indiana, but the Hoosiers haven't been able to use their two scorers to put a lot of wins in the column this season.

This is the only regular-season game between the schools this year after Indiana won both meetings last season as a top-five team. This time around Iowa is favored and Indiana is just 15-12 this year. Indiana is going to give Iowa all they can handle tonight. In fact, we like the Hoosiers to stay really close. The oddsmakers do as well with the Hawkeyes only favored by four points.
