The defending champion Miami Heat remain the favorite to win this year's championship in the latest NBA Finals Odds 2014 release with a +230 money line listing ($100 wins $230); however, LeBron James and his cohorts have some close company at the top of the list. The Indiana Pacers, who lead the Eastern Conference with 40 wins, are drawing a +290 line while Western Conference leader Oklahoma City is getting +370 odds ($100 wins $370).
After those three clubs the drop off is pretty sharp as the San Antonio Spurs are next in line with a +1100 listing. Following Gregg Popovich's troops are the Pacific leading Los Angeles Clippers at +1200 odds. Outside of those five teams, the only other real viable championship contenders are the Rockets, Trail Blazers, and Warriors, who are drawing +2000, +2300, and +2500 NBA Finals prices, respectively.
Since no teams have been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs at this juncture, all 30 squads have a championship price tag. At the bottom of the list is 9-43 Milwaukee with a +800000 line ($100 wins $800000).
