2014 Super Bowl 48 Most Valuable Player Odds

It should come as no surprise that Peyton Manning has been tabbed as the favorite for the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Odds. Manning had arguably the greatest season ever by a quarterback and his Denver Broncos are favored today over the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 48. The game is scheduled for a 6:25 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on FOX.

Manning tops the list of Most Valuable Player candidates for tonight's game and Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson is the top Seahawk on the list, currently paying out better than 3/1 if he wins the honor tonight. Wilson is a methodical quarterback for Seattle that plays the game the right way. He might be able to take advantage of a Denver defense that allowed 271 yards through the air this season.

But remember, most teams got chunks of yards against Denver when the Broncos were leading in games late. Wilson has led Seattle to 10 victories after they were trailing in the fourth quarter. And Seattle spreads the ball out, having not had a wide receiver catch 1,000 yards since Bobby Engram in 2007. Seattle spreads it out, doesn't key on one single player and still gets the job done.

Manning has won of these games before. He's also lost in this game as well. The offense against defense conversation has been talked about consistently since these two squads won their conference championships. Manning threw for 50 touchdowns and over 5,000 yards this season, giving him arguably the greatest season ever by a starting quarterback. He'll be able to throw the ball against Seattle because Denver just seems to play differently than NFC teams do.

The Seahawks bolster the best defense in the league, but playing on Peyton Manning's terms change the game. Look for him to have a big game. He's the odds-on favorite to win the Most Valuable Player award because he's the best player on the field.
