Peyton Manning was the best quarterback in football all season and will take his offensive attack up again the Seattle defense, which proved last Sunday night why they have the best secondary in the NFL. Richard Sherman talked a bit after the game in the heat of the moment, but nobody is questioning his heart, determination or his talent on the football field. This game should be one fun Super Bowl with the No. 1 offense in Denver taking on the No. 1 defense in Seattle. This Super Bowl marks the first time since the New York Giants beat the Buffalo Bills in 1990 that the top offense and defense in the league will play in the sports' biggest game. Now nearly every book has Denver to win the game.
The cold will certainly play a big role in this game. Both teams are pretty acclimated to being in colder weather, however, so it might not make that big of a difference. Denver set an NFL scoring record with 606 points this season, averaging out to just under 38 points per game. Manning had the greatest single season by a quarterback in NFL history. Denver hasn't been in the Super Bowl for 15 years.
Seattle is an athletic team on defense and a methodical, punishing offense as well. They led the league by allowing the fewest amount of points throughout the season and also allowed the fewest yards of anybody in the NFL. Opponents scored just 14.4 points per game against Seattle this season.
In the end, it comes down to playing offense or defense in this game. We like the Broncos to get it done by a couple of field goals in this one.
