College basketball on Thursday night and we will see the UCLA Bruins travel to Eugene, Oregon to take on the Oregon Ducks. The game has a start time of 9:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ESPN 2. Vegas odds have the Ducks listed as 9 point favorites, while the total sits at 162.

Analysis: The UCLA Bruins come in at 16-4 overall and 5-2 within the Pac-12. They have played just 3 true road games this year and are 1-2 in those games, with one of the losses coming at league rival Utah. The Bruins have a a very balanced offense with 6 players averaging at least 7.6 ppg and 4 players that average in double digits. Overall the Bruins average a healthy 84.3 ppg on 50% shooting. Jordan Adams leads the team in scoring at 17.2 ppg, while Tony parker is a big reason why the team is shooting 50% for the year, as he has connected on 59.8% of his shots for 7.6 ppg. Defensively, the bruins need to improve some as they allow 70 ppg on 41.5% shooting.

The Oregon Ducks had a big 13-0 start to their year and they were at one time 1-0 in the Pac-12, but then the wheels fell off as they come in having won just 1 of their last 6 games and now they currently stand at 2-5 in the Pac-12. Like their football team, they love to push the ball up and down the court and come in averaging 85.9 ppg, which is 4th in the country, while shooting 47.5% from the floor, which is 30th. The Ducks are also 25th in 3 point shooting (39.5%) and 2nd in the nation from the charity stripe (78%). 4 players average in double figures for the Ducks, led by Joseph Young, who puts up 17.6 ppg on the year and he hits 39.6% from long range, plus 87.1% from the FT line. Defense is where the Ducks have suffered this year, allowing 76.2 ppg on the year, which is 308th in the nation.  

Pick: The Ducks have really struggled of late, but maybe that blowout win over Washington State will give them some confidence for this one and UCLA hasn't been great on the road. Look for the Ducks to get a much needed home win here.
