NBA Odds Cleveland Cavaliers vs New York Knicks

The Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks open tonight's NBA on TNT action with a battle at Madison Square Garden. The two Eastern Conference rivals are scheduled to take the court at 8:00pm ET. The latest NBA Odds from Sportsbook.ag are favoring the hosting Knicks at -6 against the spread and -240 on the money line ($240 wins $100). Tonight's game total is set at 196.5 points; the Over and Under are each drawing -110 odds.

The Knicks bring an ugly 18-27 record into this evening's nationally televised showdown with the Cavs, but they are starting to resemble the team most thought they would be when the season tipped off.

New York, which is three games into a five game home stand, registered its third straight win on Tuesday night, knocking off the Celtics 114-88. The Knicks surging offense (113.8 points per game in their last four games) was again powered by Carmelo Anthony, who scored a game high 24 points on 8-of-15 shooting. Anthony also added nine rebounds, four assists, and four steals.

New York was, perhaps, even more impressive on the defensive end of the floor, limiting Boston to 39 percent shooting, including a 6-for-22 effort from beyond the arc.

At 16-29 the Cavaliers overall record is similar to the Knicks unenviable mark; however, unlike New York, Cleveland appears to be trekking in the wrong direction. While the Cavs are 6-8 this month, they completed a 1-4 home stand on Tuesday night with a 89-100 loss to the Pelicans.

The setback marked the fourth straight game where Cleveland scored 93 or fewer points and shot 42 percent or worse from the field.

The Cavaliers did earn a 109-94 home win over the Knicks in December; however, that victory marked just its second win in its last seven meetings with New York. Cleveland is also 0-4 in its last four games at Madison Square Garden, losing by an average of 12.5 points per game.

Notable Trends: New York is 8-1 both straight up and against the spread in its last nine games as a home favorite coming off back to back home wins (courtesy of Dr. Meyer's SDQL).

NBA Odds Cleveland Cavaliers vs New York Knicks:

Cleveland Cavaliers +6 (-110), Over 196.5 (-110), +200 (Moneyline)

New York Knicks -6 (-110), Under 196.5 (-110), -240 (Moneyline)
