2014 Super Bowl XLVIII Odds

The NFL Playoffs have passed the Divisional Round and Sunday will feature the Championship games of both conferences. The 2014 Super Bowl XLVIII Odds currently have the Seattle Seahawks as the favorite according to the Las Vegas Hotel, home of the SuperBook.

This past weekend saw plenty of action in the four Divisional Round games, all of which were really entertaining to watch. The Seahawks were able to hang on for a win over the New Orleans Saints in a cold and windy environment. Denver won on Sunday evening, also holding off a big push by the San Diego Chargers for a chance to take on the New England Patriots this week.

But maybe the most impressive win of the weekend came from the San Francisco 49ers, who went on the road to Charlotte and beat the Carolina Panthers. Not only did they beat them, but the 49er defense showed why it might be the best unit left in the NFL Playoffs by stopping Carolina down on the goal line in an important first half. They were out-gained by the Panthers in the game and San Francisco gave up an average of 6.0 yards per play, but in the end they were able to play better at the right time.

Currently the oddsmakers are looking at Seattle and Denver winning their games this weekend. Both teams are favored by a little more than a field goal over their opponents. Therefore, both teams are also the top two teams on the list to win the Super Bowl. It's worth noting that Denver, Seattle, San Francisco and New England were the top four teams by oddsmakers pre-season to win the Super Bowl as well.

The LVH is also dealing out a pregame line of having the NFC -2.5 for the game over the AFC, even without knowing what teams will be playing. Remember, this game is going to be played at MetLife Stadium at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, so it's going to be cold.

Current Super Bowl Odds

Seattle 1.75/1
Denver 2/1
San Francisco 3/1
New England 5/1
