The Duke Blue Devils are bowling this season and will take on the Texas A&M Aggies on New Year's Eve. The game is scheduled for an 8 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the odds for the game have the Aggies favored by double digits.

Johnny Manziel and the Aggies are a big favorite in this game and they should be. Duke took the college football world by storm this past season by putting together 10 wins for the first time in school history and getting to the ACC Championship game. But then their season came to a crashing stop when they were blitzed by Florida State.

However, all is not lost. The Blue Devils will look to battle with Texas A&M in this game. But playing against Florida State and A&M in back-to-back games certainly isn't going to be easy.

Duke QB Anthony Boone played this season as a first-year starter. Brandon Connette threw the football well this season, too. Duke runs a double quarterback system that produced 23 touchdown passes and better than 3,000 yards through the air. Will they be able to exploit the Texas A&M defense that gave up 31 points per game? Here's something worth noting — the Aggie defense is the worst statistically of any bowl team.

But Manziel is Johnny Football and he once again had a great season, completing better than 69 percent of his passes and throwing for 33 touchdowns. Jameis Winston is great and we saw how that turned out for Duke against a high-powered offense. Texas A&M could roll up 50 points in this game if they are playing at a high level, which is what we expect from Kevin Sumlin's group. Remember, last year Manziel threw for 516 yards in the Cotton Bowl, so he loves the big stage.

Duke seems to be too vanilla of an offense to play possession for possession with this Aggies team. We expect this to be the final game for Manziel in college and he loves throwing the football to Mike Evans, who has caught 12 touchdowns this season. Look for them to hook up more than once for a touchdown in this game. Too much A&M and too much offense.
