The battle of teams in the Grand Canyon State takes place tonight when the Arizona Wildcats take on the Arizona State Sun Devils. The game is scheduled for a 9:30 (EST) start time and it will be televised live on the Pac 12 Network. Currently the odds for the game have Arizona State favored by double digits to win.

Both of these teams are coming off impressive wins last week. The question is had both of them lost, where would the line have been? Arizona shocked the college football world by beating Oregon badly. Arizona State didn't necessarily shock the college football landscape when they beat UCLA, but that victory did put them into the Pac 12 title game, where they'll take on Stanford next week.

Could the Sun Devils get caught looking ahead to that matchup with Stanford? Maybe if it was any other opponent we'd buy that. But this is an in-state rivalry and we expect the effort from both clubs to be at a high level.

Arizona is going to want to run the football with Ka'Deem Carey, which only makes sense. He's one of the better running backs in the country and he can get the job done. Arizona State's defense has been suspect against the run this season which should give RichRod's system some positive thoughts heading into this one. Oregon struggled to stop the run as well and Arizona ran it 65 times last week.

But the Arizona State offense is just too good for Arizona, we think. It's hard enough to get up for a team like Oregon and now they have to figure out a way to stop the Sun Devils just a week later? That's certainly asking a lot.

And there's more riding on this game than meets the eye. The Pac 12 title game doesn't have a neutral site for some reason and a victory here by the Sun Devils would give them home field advantage next week, meaning Stanford would have to come to their house. That certainly seems like incentive to continue playing at a high level for this game.

Marion Grice got banged up last week against UCLA and might not play in this game. If he doesn't the Arizona defense will have one less thing to worry about. If he does play, just how effective will he be?

Either way, in this rivalry game is going to be fun to watch. Arizona is going to push the Sun Devils.
