A pair of national powers are set to collide on Tuesday night, as the 11th-ranked Memphis Tigers visit Gallagher-Iba Arena to battle the 7th-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys as part of the Old Spice Classic. The game has a start time of 8:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ESPN. Vegas odds have Oklahoma State listed as 8.5 point favorites, while the total sits at 154. 

Analysis: The Tigers coasted to a 95-69 victory over Austin Peay in their season opener as six different players scored in double figures. Memphis is led on the floor by guard Joe Jackson, who tallied 16 points and seven assists versus APSU, as he begins his final campaign. Last year he had team-highs of 13.6 points and 4.8 assists per outing to help the team to its 31-5 overall finish. The Tigers also returned Chris Crawford, who was named the C-USA Sixth Man of the Year after averaging 10.4 points, 3.2 assists and 1.5 steals per outing to lead their second unit. Tonight marks only the fourth true road game in November for Memphis since 1973.

The Cowboys coasted past Mississippi Valley State, Utah Valley and Arkansas- Pine Bluff in three home bouts en route to a 3-0 start, while outscoring those 3 foes by a 102.3-55 count. The Cowboys are paced by Phil Forte, who has scored 21 ppg off the bench, while starters Markel Brown (15.3), Le’Bryan Nash (13.7), Marcus Smart (13.7) and Bryan Williams (10), all have averaged in double-figures as well this year. Smart is the unquestioned leader of the group and is coming off a year in which he averaged 15.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and three steals and won Big 12 Player of the Year honors. The Cowboys are search of their second consecutive 4-0 start.

Pick: I will go with the Tigers in this one.  just think that the line is too high here. Memphis has a very good team that is very athletic and they can keep pace with the Cowboys in this one. Both teams are highly ranked and with good reason and I see the Tigers being able to keep this one close.
