Ohio State will look to preserve its unblemished record this weekend when it faces a reeling Illinois team at Memorial Stadium in Champaign. The Buckeyes and Fighting Illini are scheduled to kickoff at 12:00pm ET on Saturday; the game will be broadcast live on ESPNU. Ohio State beat Wisconsin 31-24 and it slipped past Northwestern and Iowa 40-30 and 34-24 respectively. With their BCS title hopes fading, though, Urban Meyer's troops have turned up the heat in their last two outings.

The Buckeyes destroyed Penn State 63-14 at the Horseshoe in Columbus on October 26th and the crushed a hapless Purdue squad 56-0 on November 2nd.

Ohio State gets no help from its schedule again this weekend, which means another blowout is probably in order. Illinois got off to a surprising 3-1 start, but it has since lost five straight games and most of those were not close.

The Fighting Illini did take Penn State to overtime on November 2nd, but it lost to Nebraska, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Indiana by an average of 25 points per game. The setbacks to the Badgers and Spartans both took place in Champaign in successive weeks; Wisconsin won 56-32 and Michigan State won 42-3.

Ohio State has won the last five meetings between these two rivals and it covered the number in four of those outings.

Notable Trends: The Buckeyes are 6-0 straight up and 5-1 against the spread in their last six games as a road favorite with a total of 54.5 or more points.
