Sunday Night Football Dallas Cowboys at New Orleans Saints Start Time, Odds

The Dallas Cowboys will take on the New Orleans Saints tonight in Sunday Night Football. The game is scheduled for an 8:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on NBC. Currently the odds for the game have the Saints favored by a touchdown.

This should be a fun game. The Dallas Cowboys are in first place in the NFC East and holding onto that spot for the time being. The New Orleans Saints enter tonight's game with a 6-2 record in the NFC South and they're trying to hold off the Carolina Panthers, who are closing in on them.

Dallas is giving up massive chunks of yards to opposing quarterbacks, so look for Drew Brees to have a big game. The Saints are one of the better teams in the league at chucking the football around the yard. New Orleans has won all four of their home games this season while Dallas comes into the contest with a 1-3 road record. This is also the third road game for Dallas in the last four games.

Rob Ryan has made a big difference as the defensive coordinator for the Saints. He spent the last two years in Dallas before getting fired, so expect him to be mouthy and fired up on the sidelines for this one. New Orleans disguises blitzes well, so Tony Romo could be on the run most of the night.

Will Dallas line up and try and throw every down to hang with New Orleans? It's possible, but we know the Cowboys do like to run the football as well. If every team had DeMarco Murray, they'd probably run the football quite a bit as well. But overall, the Cowboys are a passing team that likes to use Murray in the flats and screens.

Here's the reason many people are taking New Orleans, they've gone 16-1 against the number in home games under Sean Payton. That's an alarming number. They're 4-0 this season. New Orleans won this game last season in a shootout, 34-31, in overtime. But Dallas is a lot better than their 5-4 record. They've got three losses by a combined five points. But in the end we like New Orleans to get it done. They have an ATS number under Payton that can't be avoided.
