Analysis: The NC State Wolfpack are having a bad year as they enter the game at 3-5 overall and 0-5 in the ACC. They have lost 4 in a row and have been outscored by 16.2 ppg in ACC play. Offensively they are struggling right now, having put up just 14.8 ppg on the year, while on the year they have put up 23 ppg, but no more than 19 points in any of their games vs ACC opponents. Defensively they rank right in the middle of the nation an yards allowed (60^th), yards passing allowed (63^rd) and rushing yards allowed (62^nd). It has all translated into them allowing just 25.4 ppg, which is 55^th in the nation.

As for the Blue Devils, they are a team that has already reached bowl eligibility as they current stand at 6-2 on the year and 2-2 within the ACC. Their two wins in the ACC have come in their last two games and both were on the road vs Virginia and Virginia Tech. Brandon Connette leads a solid offense that puts up 32.9 ppg. Brandon is a dual threat QB that has thrown for 1069 yards and 12 Tds, while also running for another 243 yards and 7 Tds. He does have one of the better receivers in the nation in Jamison Crowder who has caught 769 of his 1069 yards he has thrown for this year. The defense has been good for them this year as they have allowed just 22.5 ppg and are ranked 35^th in the nation vs the pass, allowing just 216 ypg through the air.

Pick: Hard to go against the Blue devils here. They are playing so well right now and even though they are off a huge upset of Virginia Tech hey have had an extra week to get over that win and focus on this game. NC State has not been playing well and just won't have enough offense to keep this one close. Duke by at least 2 Tds here.
