Cincinnati has been living dangerously the past two weekends, but it managed to score back to back road wins nonetheless, topping both Buffalo and Detroit by a score of 27-24.
The Bengals are hoping for a bit more cushion in this weekend's meeting with the Jets and if their previous home scores are any indication they should get it.
Cincinnati is 3-0 at Paul Brown Stadium this season with wins over the Steelers, Packers, and Patriots and those three victories came by an average of seven points per contest.
Depending on which Jets team shows up, the Bengals could get more or less than anticipated. New York has been impressive in more than a few of its outings, which explains the team's 4-3 record, but it has shown little in the way of consistency.
The Jets have yet to win back to back games this season and their run of flip flopping continued last weekend when they stunned the Patriots 30-27 in overtime at MetLife Stadium.
Prior to the New England game, New York had suffered a 19-6 home loss to the previously winless Pittsburgh Steelers.
Aside for a nice showing in Atlanta three weekends ago, the Jets have saved their best work for the home crowd. In New York's other two road outings, it lost 13-10 to New England and 38-13 to the Titans. The Jets were -8 in turnover margin in those two games.
The last time these two teams played was November of 2010. New York scored a 26-10 home win to mark its ninth victory in its last 10 meetings with Cincinnati.
