The No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide welcome in the No. 21 Ole Miss Rebels in SEC action Saturday night. The game is scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the odds have Alabama favored by two touchdowns in this one.

The No. 1 Crimson Tide welcome in the Ole Miss Rebels in this one for their second SEC contest of the season. They're a two-touchdown underdog for the second year in a row over Ole Miss. Hugh Freeze and the boys did play pretty well last year against Alabama but fell 31-14.

Alabama's secondary still isn't figured out and Ole Miss will want to move the rock around the field. Ole Miss is averaging 38 points a game and has already won both of their road games this season. And Nick Saban isn't exactly happy with his team yet. "Just too many negative plays," he said following the win over Colorado State. Sure the won 31-6 but the Crimson Tide did not look like themselves in that game.

Freeze's clubs have been doing very well against the spread as well. Freeze is 20-5 against the number all time as a head coach. Ole Miss is 6-0 as a road road of more than 17 points. The road team has gone 5-0 against the number as well in the last five games. Alabama has also stumbled to an 0-4 number against the spread when they're favorite of 21 or less in their last four SEC occurrences.

But the key to this game might lie in the second quarter. AJ McCarron and the boys have out-scored their opponents 45-5 in the second quarter this season. Ole Miss? They've been out-scored 37-17 in the second quarter this season. Those second 15 minutes could determine what happens in this football game.

Plus, if Saban really was that angry about his team's sloppy play toward the red zone, better believe they worked on that this week in practice. It might work. Ole Miss has allowed opponents to score in all nine red zone appearances this season, not being able to get a stop.

Alabama went through the motions last week against Colorado State. Don't look for that to happen again in this one. A lot of people like Ole MIss in this contest and they are a solid, balanced team, but believe that Saban wants to shut them down. The Tide have won nine straight in this series.

The Tide will look much better in this one. Expect a solid win.
