The 23rd-ranked Wisconsin Badgers travel to take on the No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday night. The game is scheduled for an 8 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ABC. Currently the odds for the game have Ohio State favored by a touchdown.
Urban Meyer still hasn't lost as head coach of the Buckeyes. It would be pretty hard for Ohio State to go unbeaten again this season and one of those potential games is this one against Wisconsin. The Buckeyes will be playing in their fourth home game so far in just five contests. They're accustomed to playing in the Horseshoe to this point and should be ready to go when the Badgers come calling Saturday night.
Wisconsin head coach Gary Andersen has gone 15-2 against the spread as an underdog on the road in his career.
Braxton Miller is going to be back for this one for the Buckeyes at quarterback. Kenny Guiton played very well in his backup role but Meyer knows in big games Miller is the way to go.
Although they've both played some cupcakes to this point minus the Badgers falling at Arizona State in a very strange game. But they bounced back last week by beating up on Purdue.
The Badger defense is very solid this season, allowing just 10.5 points per game. They're scoring 41 per contest, so out-scoring opponents by an average of better than 30 points per game should help them heading into tonight's game. Ohio State? They're out-scoring opponents by an average of better than 37 points per game. They're fourth best in the country in scoring as well, collecting 52.5 points per game. Part of that is due to their 76-0 beat down of Florida A&M last week, but Ohio State hasn't scored less than 40 points in any game this season.
Wisconsin's defense is planning to stop that trend.
Here's some quick hits heading into this game: Ohio State ranks fifth in the country in rushing (311/per game), they're defense allows just 15.3 per contest (21st) and they won last season in Madison 21-14. Wisconsin averages 41 points per game (24th), averages 350 yards per game (third best) and is averaging 8 yards per play. The Badgers are +3 in turnover differential and Ohio State is +4.
Expect a solid game by both teams.
