The South Alabama Jaguars head to SEC country Saturday when they take on the Tennessee Volunteers. The game is scheduled for a 12:21 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on the SEC Network. The odds for the game currently have Tennessee favored by about three touchdowns. This one could be a lot better than what it appears on paper. South Alabama is a field goal as time expired away from being 3-0 on the season, having lost to Southern Utah in the opening week. The Jaguars rebounded to pick up wins at Tulane and over Western Kentucky at home.Tennessee already drilled a Sun Belt team, taking out Western Kentucky 52-20. But the Vols are coming off a tough game last week, where they lost to Florida 31-17. It was their second straight loss, having been blitzed by Oregon the week prior. Oh yeah, Tennessee has Georgia, South Carolina and then a trip to Alabama in the next few weeks after this game against South Alabama. The Jaguars took on two BCS schools last year, getting beat pretty good by N.C. State and Mississippi State, both games on the road. They seem to be more qualified to play in those atmospheres this season, but they still aren't at the level of where they'd like to be. Playing in the Sun Belt, the Jaguars could get a lot of positives out of playing well at Neyland Stadium.Butch Jones is in his first year for Tennessee and he's going to win there — eventually. They should have the better overall team here in all three phases of the game — offense, defense and special teams. Justin Worley should be able to move the football against the Jaguars defense that had given up an average of better than 28 points per game. But can the Jaguars score any points in this one? They're three TD dogs but Ross Metheny and the boys will try and whip it around the best they can. But with the two solid running backs that Tennessee will run out there, Rajion Neal and Marlin Lane, the Vols should be able to continually move the ball downfield and wear out South Alabama. We like the Vols to get this one done, but be weary of a late touchdown cover by the Jags.Free Pick: Tennessee 42, South Alabama 20
