College Football Odds Central Michigan Chippewas at NC State Wolfpack

The Central Michigan Chippewas head to the Carolinas in college football action when they play the N.C. State Wolfpack. The game is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised on ESPN3. The odds for the game currently have N.C. State favored by more than three touchdowns.

N.C. State is still probably recovering from losing at home to Clemson last week. That was a pretty physical game and Wolfpack quarterback Pete Thomas was sacked by Tiger defensive end Vic Beasley three times. He batted down two passes and forced a fumble as well. Thomas should get a bit of a break this week, facing a Central Michigan team that is just 1-3 this season. That lone win came over New Hampshire, 24-21.

The Chippewas are averaging less than 18 points a game this season, which is one of the worst numbers in the country. They are giving up a who bunch as well, at 37.3 points per game by opponents. Not a good combination.

Wolfpack head coach Dave Doeren was the man in charge at Northern Illinois last year and the year before. Doeren's team won 55-24 last season over the Chips. But Central did hand Doeren his only conference loss as head coach of the Huskies in 2011, 48-41.

But N.C. State has to figure out how to move the ball through the air and into the end zone. Thomas has not thrown a touchdown pass yet and has four interceptions. But taking advantage of Central Michigan shouldn't be too tall a task for the Wolfpack.

In the last 22 home games for N.C. State they have covered in 18 games. Add to that Central's 90-30 road deficit this season and you have the makings of a Wolfpack rout.

Central has struggled to cover the number as well, too. They're just 3-9 against the spread against non-MAC schools in their last 12 games. This is the Chips' fifth straight Saturday of action and they are battling a lot of injuries.

N.C. State is better on offense and defense and they're playing at home. The line is one we don't really want to take, but we think the Wolfpack are going to get it done.
