Saturday Baseball Philadelphia Phillies at Los Angeles Dodgers

Saturday night baseball and we will see the Philadelphia Phillies take on the Los Angeles Dodgers at Chavez Ravine in Los Angeles. First pitch is scheduled for a 10:10 PM (Eastern) start time and the game will be televised on locally. Current Betting Odds, according to Sportsbook.ag, have Philadelphia listed as the favorite

Current Odds

Philadelphia     -116
Los Angeles    +106

Over/ Under: 6.5 O -115

Analysis: Delmon Young had a career-high six RBIs and Michael Young collected four hits after Manuel gave him a day off in the series opener. Philadelphia finished with a season-high 21 hits and emphatically scored in double digits for the first time all year in last nights 16-1 win. Chase Utley has hit safely in seven straight games, going 9 for 21 on this road trip and 5 for 8 in this series.Cliff Lee is flashing the form that earned him a Cy Young Award with Cleveland in 2008, and the dominant stretch is providing a dilemma fingor the Philadelphia Phillies. Lee will be seeking his eighth consecutive victory when he takes the mound against the host Los Angeles Dodgers today in the third of a four-game series. With the Phillies struggling to stay relevant in the playoff chase, the team could be staring at the possibility of dealing Lee at the trade deadline.

The Dodgers saw their six-game winning streak end with a thud in Friday's 16-1 drubbing. It was the most runs allowed by Los Angeles at home since a 16-2 defeat to archrival San Francisco in 1987. Chris Capuano was pounded for seven runs in 3 2/3 innings Friday, marking only the second time in the last 17 games a Los Angeles starter has surrendered more than four runs. Ramirez returned to the Dodgers lineup Friday after he did not start the opener and went 1 for 3. He's batting .472 during a 10-game hitting streak. Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez is 9-for-16 with a homer against Lee. Hyun-Jin Ryu has not won since recording his first career shutout on May 28, when he struck out seven and allowed two hits in a 3-0 victory over the Los Angeles Angels. He has permitted a total of eight runs during the four-start winless stretch, including 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball last time out vs. San Francisco. The 26-year-old South Korean is 4-1 with a 1.81 ERA in eight home starts.

Pick: This is not an overreaction to last night, but the fact that Lee is on the mound and he has pitched very well vs the Dodgers in his career, allowing a TOTAL of 4 ER's in 6 career starts vs them. Teams are starting to get more tape on Ryu and he does have a 3.38 ERA in hihs last 3 starts, so teams are starting to hit him a bit more, plus the Phils offense is starting to hit, putting up 33 runs in their last 4 games. Look for Philly to make it 2 in a row over LA.
