The Golden State Warriors welcome the Denver Nuggets back to the ORACLE Arena tonight as they two clubs meet in a pivotal Game 4 showdown. This evening’s game is scheduled to get underway at 9:30pm ET on TNT. 2013 NBA Playoff Picks have the Nuggets, who enter tonight’s game in a 0-2 series hole, listed as a -1.5 against the spread road favorite; the Over/Under is set at 212.5 points. The Warriors are drawing +105 moneyline odds ($100 wins $105) to take a 3-1 series lead.

 

When the Warriors lost All-Star forward David Lee in their Game 1 setback against the Nuggets it seemed as though a sweep might be in the offing. However, in the two games since, Denver has played like the team without one of its stars.

 

Golden State scored a stunning 131-117 blowout win in Game 2 at the Pepsi Center, and it came back for more on Friday, topping the favored Nuggets 110-108 at the ORACLE Arena.

The Warriors, who burned down the nets in their Game 2 victory, shot 52.5 percent from the field and 40 percent from beyond the arc in procuring a 2-1 lead. Stephen Curry and Jarrett Jack scored 29 and 23 points, respectively, while Harrison Barnes and reserve Carl Landry each tallied 19.

 

Ty Lawson did his best to give the Nuggets the series lead, scoring 35 points to go along with 10 assists, but Denver’s defense again proved inadequate.

 

Despite their struggles on Tuesday and Friday, the Nuggets are favored again this evening. Denver was the superior team all season, and it is obvious the odds makers and betting public expect the team to survive the Warriors’ “man down” battle cry and regain control of this series.

 

Golden State has some swagger now, though, and it also has reason to feel confident tonight. The Warriors not only own a 2-1 series lead, but they are also 4-1 in their last five meetings with the Nuggets at the ORACLE Arena.
