College Basketball Odds: San Diego State Aztecs at No. 14 New Mexico Lobos

The Mountain West Conference will see a big game tonight as the San Diego State Aztecs travel to take on the No. 14 New Mexico Lobos. The game is scheduled for a 10:15 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on the CBS Sports Network. The College Basketball Odds for the game have New Mexico favored by 5.5 points.

Big game tonight for both teams and especially for New Mexico. If the Lobos are able to win this game they'll all but wrap up the Mountain West Conference regular season title after winning a very tough game against Colorado State during the weekend. New Mexico is two games ahead of the second-place Rams with four games to play. San Diego State is probably in the NCAA Tournament right now, but a win tonight on the road in The Pit might fully punch their tickets.

Kendall Williams has proven he might be the best overall player in the Mountain West and he had a monster game against Colorado State. Yet, he and everybody else struggled immensely against the Aztecs in the first game of this series. San Diego State held the Lobos to a season-low 34 points in what was the school's worst loss in the shot clock era. Tonight they'll be looking to exact some revenge.

San Diego State has won 12 of 17 overall and five of seven on the road in the series. They also have a pretty impressive resume for this season, having wins over UCLA and New Mexico already. They won't hold New Mexico to just 34 points in this game, that's a given. Yet, San Diego State has dropped three straight on the road by a total of 11 points overall. But they haven't lost four straight games in six years.

Jamaal Franklin, second in the league with 17.3 points per game, will be a tough stop for New Mexico tonight. The match up tonight with Williams will certainly be fun to watch. Franklin not only leads the Aztecs in points per game but also rebounds (9.1), assists (3.2) and steals at 1.5 per game.

Both teams shot 3-for-15 from downtown in the previous game. New Mexico never led in that game and shot less than 25 percent from the floor. Both of those will chance in this game tonight. Look for a very solid effort from the Lobos.

San Diego State is a great basketball team, but on the road they've struggled this season, going just 4-4. New Mexico is awesome at home, 13-1 on the season. The Pit will be rocking tonight.
