College Basketball Wisconsin Badgers at Ohio State Buckeyes: Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

College Basketball on Tuesday night will see a Big Ten battle as the Wisconsin Badgers take on the No. 11 Ohio State Buckeyes. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the odds for the game have Ohio State favored by 6.5 points.

Wisconsin will look for another bigtime road victory in today's game in Columbus. The Badgers knocked off then No. 2 Indiana last week, but since then the Hoosiers have been able to stay afloat and are now ranked third. That really doesn't mean anything to Wisconsin, but they will take some of the emotion from that win into tonight's contest. Ohio State is tough at home.

Both teams play pretty good defense and are 5-2 overall in the conference. The Buckeyes have gone 11-1 in home games this season, beating No. 2 Michigan but dropping to then No.9 Kansas back in December. Opposing teams have not been able to score a lot of points against Ohio State in Columbus and tonight it certainly looks on the surface that this game will be a low-scoring one as well. The total for the game has been set by oddsmakers at just 120 points.

When Deshaun Thomas is on his game, the Buckeyes are hard to beat. He's one of the elite scorers in the game and leads the Big Ten in points per game at 20 points per game. Jared Berggren for the Badgers will be looking to bang it up inside and hit the glass hard for Wisconsin.

Ohio State has won four of their last five games, only falling in East Lansing to Michigan State last weekend. The Buckeyes average over 70 points per game and will look to get a good game tonight from point guard Aaron Craft, who is a lockdown defender and can score if Ohio State needs him to. And of course if Lenzelle Smith, Jr. can put the ball in the basket, Ohio State will be doing well.

Trying to beat Craft will be Badger point guard Traevon Jackson. If Wisconsin plays their style of basketball, they're going to be able to keep it close. Both teams are tied in the Big Ten standings, so this game is very big for conference spots. We think the Buckeyes will get the job done at home.

Free Pick: Ohio State 68, Wisconsin 60
