NFL Sunday Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Denver Broncos: Start Time, Spread, Free Pick

NFL Week 13 continues on Sunday and we will see the Tampa bay Buccaneers travel west to take on the Denver Broncos. The game is scheduled for a 4:05 PM (Eastern) start time and it will be televised live on FOX. Currently the odds for the game have Denver favored by 7.5 points, while the total sits at 50.5. Check out Sportsbook Spy to find out what side the Public is taking on all today's games.

Free Analysis:  The Buccaneers had their four-game winning streak snapped with last week's one-point home loss to Atlanta, but remain in a three-way tie with the Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings for the final playoff slot in the NFC. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of the more improved teams in the NFL this season but the final five games will decide if they are a playoff team or not this season. Tampa Bay had rolled up an average of nearly 35 points during its four-game winning streak, but bogged down at critical moments in the 24-23 loss to the Falcons. Quarterback Josh Johnson failed to throw a touchdown pass for the first time this season following a stretch of six straight games with multiple scoring passes. The Buccaneers also struggled in the running game, with rookie Doug Martin held to 50 yards on 21 carries following a four-game stretch in which he amassed 592 yards and five touchdowns.  Bucs wideouts Vincent Jackson (20.4) and Mike Williams (16.9) rank among the top five in the NFC in yards per catch.  Tampa Bay's defense, which ranks last in the league against the pass (315.5 yards), lost CB Eric Wright to a four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs. The Bucs defense will be tested by Manning in this one.

The Denver Broncos are rolling and appear to be headed towards an AFC West title and all that comes with it. While the Broncos were a playoff team a year ago this years’ revamped model look to be greatly improved. Peyton Manning is having a huge comeback year completing 67.7 percent of his passes, while being sacked just 16 times.  Manning, the league's only four-time MVP, had 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions to insert himself into the conversation for the award once again after sitting out last season while undergoing multiple neck surgeries. Manning produced one of the greatest comebacks in league history against Tampa Bay in 2003, rallying Indianapolis from a 21-point deficit in the final four minutes of regulation for a 38-35 overtime win. Denver's running game got a huge jolt when oft-injured Knowshon Moreno came out of mothballs to rush for 85 yards on 20 carries in last week's 17-9 win at Kansas City. Moreno, a former first-round pick, had not played since Week 2 but filled the void left by the injury to Willis McGahee, who is expected to be sidelined for six to eight weeks.   Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas has gone over 100 yards in three of five home games. Defensively the Broncos are allowing 20.1 points, 98.7 rushing yards, and 209.6 passing yards with 13 interceptions. Wesley Woodyard has 97 tackles and Mike Adams has 61 tackles.  Linebacker Von Miller had eight sacks in four games in November, pushing his total to 14 and giving the Broncos a league-best 37.

Free Pick: The Tampa offense has been very hot of late as they have averaged 32.3 ppg in their last 7 games and they have averaged 29.8 ppg on the road this year. This is a team that is really starting to air it out allot more and they have been able to thanks mostly to a running game that has been pretty solid this year, ranking 11th in the league. A good running game will get the play action pass going for some big plays down field and it has helped Tampa get some big plays as they are 4th in the league in yards per pass attempt, ranking 4th at 7.7 ypa. They will be taking on a solid Denver defense, but also one that has struggled vs good offenses this year, allowing San Diego to put up 23 and 24 points vs them, Houston and New England to put up 31 and Atlanta to get 27. The Broncos can be scored on and Tampa will need to do that if they hope to keep this one close.  For Denver their offense has been clicking all year. they did score just 17 vs KC last week, but that was a flat spot for them and in their previous 5 games they hit the 30 point mark in all 5. Denver has also scored 31.4 ppg at home.  With Manning at the helm the Bronco passing game is 6th in the league and they are also 2nd in the league in yards per attempt (7.8). Another offense that gets allot of big plays and they should once again vs a weak Tampa defense that is last in the league vs the pass (315 ypg) and 2nd to last in yards per attempt (8.1). Both teams are primarily passing teams, but they do use the run to set up nice play action passes for big plays and I see that happening here. This one should be a shootout.
