The fading Dolphins will attempt to avoid a fourth straight loss this afternoon when they play host to the Seattle Seahawks. The Dolphins appeared as though they had turned their miserable 1-3 start into a potentially promising season after reeling off three straight October wins, but three straight losses has effectively ended what were already slim playoff hopes.
Now Miami is fighting to maintain some semblance of respectability, something is has not done well over the last two weeks, losing to the Titans and Bills by a combined score of 56-17.
Fortunately for the Dolphins, their prospects of avoiding utter embarrassment are much greater with today’s showdown against the Seahawks taking place at Sun Life Stadium. While Seattle is an impressive 6-4 overall and 4-2 in its last six games, it has not played that well on the road this season.
The Seahawks are 1-4 away from CenturyLink Field and their lone road victory came against and inconsistent/mistake prone Carolina team. Seattle is brimming with confidence right now, though, and its defense should have little difficulty containing a Miami offense that is averaging just 18.7 points and 309.9 yards per game on the season.
