The PAC 12 will see a contest between the Washington State Cougars and the home Arizona State Sun Devils today. The game is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on the Pac-12 Network. Currently the odds for the game have Arizona State favored by three touchdowns.

Well, here we are. Washington State head coach Mike Leach is once again hearing the heat as one of his former players decided to leave the team recently and say he's a bad coach that is too harsh on his kids and belittles everyone there. Sometimes we wonder if winning would cure all this.

Then again, we also would like to know why only one person is complaining. Remember, he's the one that quit the team. But it certainly hurts the team. Marquess Wilson was their best player and only real deep threat on offense, so now the Cougars real have nothing. Remember, Wilson had a monster game against Arizona State last season, catching eight passes in all for more than 220 yards and three scores. Nothing like losing major production a week before playing that team again.

In today's game there certainly are some distractions for Wazzou and they aren't a good football team to begin with, so it might be tough for them to travel to Arizona State.

This is an absolute must-win situation for the Sun Devils. Bad opponent coming in, favored heavily, and at home. Arizona State has lost four straight games and allowing nearly 41 points per game in those defeats. They started the year on fire, racing out to a 5-1 start, but then they ran into the conference buzz saw that saw them lose to the Pac-12's best in Oregon, UCLA, USC and Oregon State.

Big plays have been the main concern for the ASU defense. They've given up lengthy pass touchdowns in their past two games and we already know that Washington State can't run the ball at all, ranking nearly dead-last in America at only 33 rushing yards per game. How is that even possible on a Division I team?

Anyway, we don't believe enough in Wazzou, especially on the road. Their only two wins on the season came over Eastern Washington and UNLV. Yikes. Still, that is a lot of points in conference games and ASU has proven in the past month that they can struggle, even at home. It's hard to take the dogs in this one, but we have a slight lean to Washington State. Things really couldn't get any worse for the Cougs.
