The two biggest SEC disappointments, Arkansas and Auburn, are set to collide at Jordan-Hare Stadium this afternoon (12:00pm ET start time, ESPN2). The latest College Football Saturday Odds are siding with the Tigers in this divisional clash with Auburn laying 7.5 points and sitting at -290 on the moneyline ($290 wins $100). Today’s game total is set at 56 points.

Arkansas, despite its off-season woes, was expected to be a force in the SEC West this season, but those expectations lasted all of two weeks. The Razorbacks looked suspect in their season opener against Jacksonville State and they proved to be exactly that the next weekend with a 31-34 overtime loss to Louisiana-Monroe.

Arkansas has been fighting to get its head above water ever since its loss to the Warhawks, but its efforts have proven unsuccessful. The team rides a four game losing streak into today’s meeting with Auburn as it followed up its week two loss with home setbacks to Alabama (52-0) and Rutgers (35-26) and 58-10 thrashing last weekend at Texas A&M.

Auburn, at 1-3, would appear to offer its division rivals a reprieve, but even the Tigers have looked better than the Razorbacks. Gene Chizik’s crew fell 26-19 in a neutral site opener against Clemson and they lost 28-10 at Mississippi State the following weekend, but they have played a more respectable brand of football in their two most recent outings.

The Tigers beat the same Louisiana-Monroe bunch that downed Arkansas, albeit in overtime (31-28), and they nearly upset No. 4 LSU two weekends ago, losing 10-12 to the Tigers at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Arkansas has won and covered in three of the last four in this series, but it would be foolhardy to expect anything from the Razorbacks at this juncture. Until the Hogs show a little life it is one of two options: fade or pass.

Arkansas vs Auburn College Football Odds:

Arkansas Razorbacks +7.5 (-115), Over 56 (-110), +245 (Moneyline)

Auburn Tigers -7.5 (-105), Under 56 (-110), -290 (Moneyline)
